Leak Repair Callout — your questions answered
- How quickly can someone come out to a leak?
- Many companies listing this fixed price offer same or next day attendance. Turn the water off at the stopcock and enquire straight away.
- What counts as a visible leak?
- A leak the plumber can see and reach — under a sink, at a radiator valve, on exposed pipework. Leaks under floors or inside walls need a leak detection visit first.
- Are parts included in the fixed price?
- Small parts up to £30 are covered. Anything larger, such as a replacement valve or a section of pipe, is quoted before the work goes ahead.
- Will my insurance cover it?
- Escape of water damage is often covered, but the repair itself usually is not. A fixed-price invoice is useful evidence either way.
