These terms apply to everyone using www.fixedcosts.co.uk (the "Website"), operated by Fixed Costs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 16425925) ("we", "us"). By using the Website or creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. What Fixed Costs is

Fixed Costs is an online directory. We display fixed-price services advertised by independent businesses ("Listed Businesses") and pass customer enquiries to them. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a Listed Business.

2. Jobs, bookings and payments

• All jobs are agreed, booked and carried out directly between the customer and the Listed Business.
• All payments are made directly to the Listed Business. Fixed Costs Ltd does not take, hold or process payments for any job.
• Fixed Costs Ltd is not responsible or liable for the quality, safety, legality, timing, pricing, completion or outcome of any work, nor for any payment, refund, deposit, loss, damage or dispute arising between a customer and a Listed Business.
• Customers should confirm the scope, price and terms of any job directly with the Listed Business before work starts.

3. Information on the Website

Prices and business details are supplied by Listed Businesses. We carry out checks before approving a business, but we do not guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or current, and approval is not an endorsement or warranty of any business.

4. Trader sign-up terms

By applying to list your business you confirm and agree that:

• The information you provide is true, accurate and kept up to date.
• You hold all insurance, qualifications, registrations and certifications required for the services you advertise.
• You will honour the fixed prices you publish, or clearly agree any change with the customer before starting work.
• You are solely responsible for the work you carry out, your dealings with customers and all payments you take.
• Your listing will only appear publicly once approved by our team. We may decline, suspend or remove any listing or account at our discretion.
• You will use customer enquiry details only to respond to that enquiry and in line with UK data protection law.

5. Membership and future changes

Listing on Fixed Costs is currently free. Fixed Costs Ltd reserves the right to change its business model in the future, including introducing optional paid plans or features. If we do, we will continue to offer a free membership option and will give Listed Businesses reasonable notice of any changes before they take effect.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fixed Costs Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Website or from any dealings between customers and Listed Businesses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
